WOOHP WOOHP!
26 Episodes
Thriller, High School
Alex, Clover, and Sam are Beverly Hills High students and WOOHP spies. Fighting villains with dreams of conquering the world while falling for boy toys and catfights at high school. "Bond meets 90210."
Cartoon Network is one of my favorite channels for animated viewing pleasure. Totally Spies! is extremely frilly as the three girls are boy-crazy and fashion obsessives (their eyes sparkle at the mention of Paris). The show does not teach any morals, but stereotypes any high school girl as 'whiny and demanding.' The episodes depict sci-fi fantasies in preposterous manners. This show may as well be a sci-fi as the villains bow down to mind-control, giantass spaceships, and cyborgs!
Lots of martial arts and a typical adolescent-conversational script are the only shining figures that make any of these episodes something to look forward to. But that does not beat the somewhat screechy voice cast and the obvious signs of shortcutting through animation (repeating faces, same eyes for mostly everybody, etc).
The only thing that's cute about the show are the girls' temporary relationships

All I did for the holiday break was go to the library, be a shut-in to the world with my violin, and
watched films and comedy shows (upcoming post!)
