Geijutsuka Art Design Class (GA)

13 Episodes
Genres: Comedy, Education

Join Yamaguchi Kisaragi (the acutely clumsy girl with oversized glasses) and her classmate friends as they have fun with art and learn concepts, like style.

The characters are designed as different thinkers. They have their own personalities, yet they all seem to weave interchangeably into one seemingly improvisational cast. The silliness really makes every day seem funnier than it should be! Well, I mean, now, I wish I was at the Art School than being locked up in a daycare for sept heures et demie! (If it's supposed to be -et un(e, non?) demie- , I apologize on my behalf)
Honestly, I was hoping that the characters' lines would reflect or poke their personalities.. it's funny if it's accidental, right?

There aren't jokes that are there to trigger laughter.. Well, maybe a few, but not throughout the Series. It's the actions that lead to the zany gaffy tactics that gets your throat caught up in the tight swelling of giggling. These actions are always relevant to the episode ; seldomly random, they are. The comedies that I've seen thus far have jokes that are guffaw gackers , but they're random. And they're usually reactions to simple actions , like
Cooking, braiding hair, or at the sight of... mangas, let's say.

Not much to say means... it's great for an afternoon or just for the boring hours. It goes well with a strawberry parfait or something.  (^-^)v
The characters - students, teachers, and those whom are interacted with- make memorable little senseis! <З

I hope to watch another anime with the same art style - it seems I've taken a liking to it.

Slam Dunk

101 Eps ((ACHIEVEMENT :: First 100+ ep series))
Comedy, Sports , High School

After he was rejected by 50 consecutive girls , Hanamichi Sakuragi sets his eyes on Haruko, but to impress her, he must love what she loves -basketball.
Nope. It's following the journey of a freshman basketball rookie.

The romance addition adds a little more gleam to the "basically, it's basketball" plot. Unfortunately, the romance is one-sided ( and not fulfilled ) - expressed only by Sakuragi blushing at the sight of her. If you wanted to read for the finance, turn around and watch the tdrama, Bull Fighting, (Mike He, anyone?)  which I started earlier this week.
--Romace is strictly not a main focus.
The manga and anime give off the impression that it was meant to be educational, yet (sonewhat maturely) enjoyable. Please be aware that Sakuragi has his own quartet gang!!
Dr. It's little lectures honors its mangaka , who has seen and or played basketball.
The watching experience includes a laugh in almost every episode  . (There's a whole episode dedicated to an all-out fight ) . The series (both medias) ended with a basketball game -which, to me, means Y U MAKE NO LONGER??

A friend always points or the fact that every game is dramatic - mostly because of the slo-mos. But who says " no " to sparkling ... balls? Or Sakuragi's crazy Naruto cloning defense??

Finally, the characters are unbelievably easy to draw. Mr. T demonstrates that you don't need to be superbly talented to tell a story. Just do it !
I attempted to draw Rukawa, the one who sleeps..   a lot.

Grade!! 7.7-8.2/10
Deductions Due to...
-the ending
-for the first time, the romance wasn't even a decent exposure
-some random spotlights of anybody

Antique Bakery

2008
12 Episodes
Genres: Cakes, Comedy, (a hint of) romance (backstory) ;
--this series is classified as Shonen-ai; here, it is under Yaoi because of the tags that I have

This series is a a Complete Set:

manga, drama, film, and anime. I haven't seen the Korean film or the jdrama yet, so this'll be on the Anime and manga.

For starters, I've read the manga online and on an (Amazon) app. I've noticed that some or many sites list this as Yaoi, whereas Wikipedia and fans know that it's Shonen-ai. So if you're pissed about me tagging this as Yaoi, well I'll be... a damned little girl ;)

Overall, I marathoned it in two days. It's probably thanks to the dark backstory of a main lead, Antique's owner, Tachibana something.

Tachibana lives with his past in mind. He's had nightmares of a childhood abduction and the day he rejected his high school male lover, Ono Yusuke. He opens the cake shop, "Antique" and finds that Ono was hired for work . Will he remember Tachibana or is it all a thing of the past?

The atmosphere that is created in the kitchen is soooo Yaoi-fitted, which leads to the psychology of fangirling (or BOYing). I did not find myself hating any character, so it means there was either a nice selection of (statuette) characters or the characters don't change much. Either way, the story only highlights Tachibana's issue with his past.

I was a little bothered about the seemingly light charcoal chapter pages in the manga. As well as the basic character faces. Since Kashimashi Girl Meets Girl, I've been trying to avoid light art (girlish art, no offense). At least the OST of the Anime is light like a ... latte? Choux à la crême?

I was hungry, like, GROWLING hungry. I needed food porn ; I thought my lunch of a tuna-vegetable (mostly corn, peace!) salad would be more enjoyable. Heh, well...
I've bookmarked at least five lists of Food Manga, Food Dramas, and Food Anime series. It is a goal of mine to feel so superior when I start watching Toriko. Can't. Wait. X)

I wish that the manga had some recipes, but no, all they can do is tell you what's in that figure created by an ex-champion boxer. ;;;'(

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I have a problem with 2D and 3D art in one, like Initial D. The first episode displayed so much of is style that I thought I'd have to struggle with enjoyment. Thankfully, the storyline isn't bland or covered in say, clichés.

It was like a little boxed cake - sweet, lightly humorous, and bright with gay-turned men . **blushing??

Grade: 7.4-7.8/10
Missing? An altered ending... I didn't like both endings (manga AND anime)

Coffee, anyone?
SURE.
WHICH ONE?

Kashimashi/Kasimasi ~ Girl Meets Girl

35 Chapters | 5 Volumes
--Genres:: Romance, Light Light Humour

Hazumu loves flowers and falls in love with the gentle, pretty girl, Yasuna. After confessing  his feelings, he shuns himself away to a mountain after she turns him down. But, he gets hit by... nothing more ordinary than a spaceship from beyond.

Okay, so.. weird story. Hazumu is sadly, a sensitive clueless bag of.. airheadness. Apparently, the aliens genetically alter his sex because he .. gasp! survived!

And who else to catch him from his descent than...his , or "her" two lovers, a childhood friend and the First Love.
Oh, did I mention that this storyline is also an ANIME of 12 Episodes??!!

Stare at me..
One eye will always be bigger throughout the series.

My experiences::

I loved making fun of Hazumu all the way in the Anime. In the manga, everything's his fault-
great, right?

What's wrong with a guy eating ice cream with little teaspoons or something??

The anime is exactly as the Manga until Chapter 20-End. I enjoyed the ending of the Manga better because the animators pretty much gave us The Actual Ending Presented By Us and The Ending That You Wanted, But Didn't Get, So Here It Is.

The Opening song is as light as the art - it's kind of kiddish, but it got to my head, so it may as well yours. I swayed along .

The musician. Everybody has loved one before -- !

The anime metaphorically uses flowers as symbols of Love and Love Triangle/Polygonal Conflicts. I liked the symbolism.

Manga: 7.5 / 10
Anime: 6.4-7.3 / 10

Orphan Black Season One

10 Episodes
Genres. Sci-fi, Thriller, Family (an Everything drama?)
Starring:: Tatiana Maslany, Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Michael Mando , and More --

Sarah Manning, an orphaned hustler, witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks like her. She is reeled into an operation group who are studying ... cloning. But, she learns that everyone's keeping secrets.

Okay, this we a SPECTACULAR watch. Every episode is extremely tense and a bit suspenseful. However, I was a little blue for the Finale.. as it ended in a cliffhanger and forced more questions to be asked!

The CAST IS BEYOND PERFECT. Maslany guaranteed herself an award- the woman who portrays like, 10 people!! I'm also going to say "Thank You" to :: Felix (Gavaris)

Thank you for breaking my Incestual Shipment. Yes, I actually upheld their closeness as a relationship... Felix is just amazing.. wished I had met a guy like that.

The story is quite simple, but the aftermath of taking up an identity didn't get Sarah into trouble, she got herself entangled in a web! She learns that she's more important than she thought.. she's a new Favourite Character of mine.

The writers don't write lines that turns a confused party to an obsessive prey creature. Nope. They threw in humor, character-matched lines, and the "Scene Final Words". Aigg!! I squealed at this SFW (totally forgot that this abbreviated slang means Safe For Work) line spoken by Felix :: > <

"Well, aren't you an odd duck?"
The show also features both homosexualities which I'm greatly admiring . Don't worry, it's just one and one .. no more, no less.

The cast is diverse -racially and accent-wise. Tati traveled throughout Europe and America (New York businesswoman CEO voice, anyone?) . Jordan is an American who mocks a goddang amazing English accent.

That slick - backed hair ..
Felix, you amaze me EVERY TIME

It's a Mermaid!

Drop your pens because [almost] EVERY SECOND IS WORTH WATCHING. (Including the Pilot's sex scene? Oh, yes.)

Grade:  8.6/10

Hard to spoil, thankfully. Don't know what this says about the show, but YOU WILL WATCH THIS IN TWO DAYS I KNOW IT.

--Coming Up!
-Slam Dunk (anime and manga mentions)
-Hana Kimi (2007 Production)
-Boys Over Flowers (kdrama... it's been wayyy too long, right?)

Psych Season Two

16 Episodes
Genres:: Mystery, Comedy
Starring James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson, Timothy Omundsen ..

IN this Season, Shawn Spencer, a man of great observational power, and Gus Burton, have more cases to crack. Most of these cases, however, are one in another (a multi-mystery).

Shawn and Gus are quite the childhood pair; how am I still not shipping them?? In this season, Gus seems to back off away from cases (and Shawn and his problems) . He shows that he's very compassionate about his job selling pharmaceuticals and considers Psych as a side job. ((He likes to watch shows... and got sucked into a telenovela.))

The humor has shrunk into jokes here and there and if you want the most amount of humor this time, you'll only be guffawing for about two or three episodes.
I ended up cursing O'hara a bit due to a trio of episodes that features test score comparisons and an FBI government-certified agent and psychic team that come to Los Angeles. At least Shawn beats them all X)

The ending is a really effective advertisement. Hint: Shawn has a surprise visitor at HOME.

Grade: 7.4/10
-not as much Humor
-Memorable Cases.. not yet Favorites
Toast Man!!

Once Upon A Time Season One

22 Episodes
Genres? Fantasy, Business-ish, Romances, Family Rules

This talked-about show seemed to hit everybody's heartstrings in the recent seasons. How was its start?

Oh, my-! It was ridiculously short and... stale. I felt so critical on this series, no offense. I mean, ABCStudios, how low could your budget go??

I was not able to enjoy the overall idea nor its characters. (Henry, the whiny bitch boy needs to go.... his acting sucks as fuck!) Okay, okay... there's got to be a reason most of its goddarned audience likes it, right?

Once upon a time, an evil queen banished our beloved fairytale characters to our world of : no happiness, rooms, or magic. Time has been frozen until Emma Swan drives into town (in her yellow Bug/Hummer). Will she break the curse bestowed upon the enchanted town's citizens or will she... gain more enemies and ignore them because she'll learn that cursing doesn't make you a badass?

Should I rant... because I can. But I can't because I am sure this currently airing series is on your Watchlist. Well, how about the good that came out of this cheap production? Ha, there's a select few::::

The only characters you'll be focused on are Rumpelstiltskin, the evil Queen (duh!) , Henry, Emma, and supposedly hot guys who just walk casually into the story. (They need to be The Vampire Diaries or something! Making dark look strangely Edward Cullen-y.)
The acting' s pretty amateurish and Henry is THE WORST KID ACTOR I'VE EVER SEEN . (Hansel, Young Snow, Baby Emma, and Young Pinocchio were wayyy better damn him!)

That's the only goodness I harvested. Désole, des saisons de l'anneé.

Now..the oh-it-hit-me-HARD! topics..

  1. Cheap animation and graphics
The bird is oh so terribly drawn...
  2. Villains gotta show boobs... oops, I meant cleavage.. (show more with every appearance!)
  3. The wigs, especially The Evil Queen' s hairs
  4. Henry
  5. Unnecessary cursing (there are other words than What the hell, you know?)
  6. Eggs [and possibly dicks..]

7.And slow episodes!! I was dead like, 18 times XXP

So.. you still want to watch anyway? Those who just watch to preview the show and prejudge, let's unite!
°°°°Episode 18 to the Season Finale should be good enough XD°°°°

Grade: 5.6-7.7
-- WHINY BITCH BOY !! --
I'm not really anticipating the next Season ; it's good for filling up those rainy or coconut hazy days .

À la prochainet : until next time .

Pretty Little Liars Season Three

24 Episodes
Season Three of Pretty Little Liars
Based off Sara Shepard' s hit book series

So... Season 2 left us with gasp! Maya' s tearful death!! The Liars are still tangled up in A's game , featuring more pieces. The girls discover Alison's intentions back then and become more submissive with themselves.

Well, I liked all the episodes, but I binge-watched the last 9 Episodes . However, the FINALE stood out and pushed all my hours of watching to "seemingly wasted, but oh well."
Oui!  j'ai adore l'episode finale. It had jammed suspense, running, darkness, life, and adventure into one.... May as well be the only episode you'll need to see in this season.

Ohmigod, THAT TIE

The secrets get darker and darker. Hair is cut shorter (for two of the Little Liars). Hanna orders her friends and Caleb to spy on people. Yeah, and did I mention more Ezria? (Not that I care, but I'm kind of hoping for another breakup)..

How many questions need to be asked? Ummm.... how about RED COAT?! This femme fatale makes her debut here --

So, finally! An outstanding and or phenomenal season broke the show' s pace. Maybe this is where I should have started watching, but I like to learn all the dee.....tails.

Grade::::: 8/10

Impatient? What I'm Watching This Week:
