Salvaging Relationships Plus Nine Boys?!

Grabbed a ton of mags today and I miss reading my nonfiction. Been rewiring my day-to-day activities lately. And I'm skimming.. prescribed adapalene is not for eczema, so I set myself up for a prolonged healing time. This is for the hell of it...
Shh, I've been..cruising and taking the hits. :(

New Girl Season Two

There are a couple halls with couples, couples everywhere in high school. New Girl has an emerging couple from the home front ~~

25 Episodes

Sometimes, I feel that displaying all my freshman work on here is worth any kid's while. Who wouldn't want to know how different 9th grade is from middle school? (Goodness, those years have lied to me!)

The past Friday sent butterflies to my stomach during an end-of-the-day writing assessment. What's great is that if you don't finish or write poorly, you can get a grade of 60 at the minimum. I figured that I probably got a70+ because I was kinda bored through the summer novel and everything that I thought I knew about Watergate was partially foggy. I thought Nixon's dirty work was tapping into American telephones!

So, I've begun to have Goals of the Week (or prolonged). This week, those goals are:
·Don't be afraid of English class
·Finish a goddamn novel! (Currently: Forsyte Saga 3-in-1 and The Art of Talking to Anyone)
·Read more often
·Piano songs.. concurrently start some projects! (Maybe for starters, The Well-Tempered Clavier?)

That's enough about lately. Jess Day is rockin' with a new man (or men, in several cases)

She has definitely matured (mostly) as a woman who can say "no." From finally admitting her feelings to gently dropping a relationship that could've had it all, Jess is able to stand up for herself. Even if she's on and off with work, she knows how to have a life (well, *tries* to). Enjoyable as always,  she is. She's also going with some new looks ..

How about the mates? This time, they're out for sex. Whether these experiences of the difficulty of finding a condom or having your first time with a prostitute are relevant, the cameras are giving the boys more spotlight, and it was a fine choice. Winston is still under-rated, though.

And something big is happening toward the well-crafted final four episodes...

This season , love is in the air. With so many college flashbacks with Schmidt and Nick and a little bit of CeCe and Jess as teens, the show still relies on its skits for humor. And now, the numerous references are everywhere in the script.

Hey, Girl! Whatcha Doin'? New Girl

The heading must have been a mistake - it should be "Who Ya Doin'?" Oh, you..

24 Eps
20 mins each
Comedy | Romance

Jessica "Jess" Day catches her six-year boyfriend cheating on her. She moves out into an apartment with three mates. The boys assist with Jess' struggle to forget her ex, while being men and doing nothing. -shrug-

I haven't seen 500 Days of Summer yet, so I have never heard Zooey Deschanel's voice. It's er, lower than expected. Deschanel portrays Jess, a quirky, freakishly honest girl. Let's face it : it's extremely common that such "freaks" are either avoided or appreciated by the do-gooders. Jess is somewhat down-to-earth. She isn't afraid to blurt out the truth or that advice that you just don't want to hear. That voice possesses Ms. Day and everyone listens to her --
So all eyes on her. Great. As the season progressed however, Jess lost her spotlight. The three men - a womanizer, a black guy, and a broken heart - open up their lives to us. Schmidt has nightly sex with Jess' one and only best friend, who's a model. Winston returns to his girl after two years and Nick, well, he's totally Jess' other half. OH, THE LOVE AND HATE! The trio are annoyed by Jess' odd habits of singing, impressions, baking desserts with sprinkles, etc. but come to terms with the fact that Jess has given them all courage to chase after love and romance. If only the show were that cutesy.

You wanna know what dominates the storyline? The little jokes and montages. This show seems to degrade a show before its time, so if I find such a show, I'll cite New Girl as a dupe. As for the thoughtful script, the casting has included several guest appearances:

This show mentions adult themes such as sex, relationships, and job roles. My sister, three years my junior, cracks up way too much at every episode, and is awaiting my appointment with Season Two because "ELAINE! (Taylor Swift)" That's gonna be mid-July, dear. I'll manage.

Taking away short-term guests and the jokes, it's a simple tale of acknowledgment.. of friends, acquaintances, and the ones you may love.

Modern Farmer

20 Episodes
Comedy | Life
2014 SBS
Hardcore Dramatic Acting , beware

A million-dollar debt leads Min Ki to drag his bandmates of Excellent Souls into rural living. If you degrade the country life, this drama is definitely going to transform your thoughts.

Who's tired of duplicated kdramas? Raising. Arm.

We are all in luck as Modern Farmer is hilariously crafted into a very realistic depiction of the hardships of life. That being said, the catch of the series is that "Life is like growing cabbages."
From first love to financial woes to thievery, the four young men appeals to a vastly age audience. The storyline incorporates the queer business of growing cabbages which could represent the questions that stirs much confusion about life. Why must we live in one manner? Is etiquette an option for everyone? To answer, I will stand on former Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, and his quote, "What we call 'public opinion' is generally public sentiment." The world is run by intellectuals that has a kingdom of millions of average folks. Is it harsh enough that humans are becoming more selective than nature? Under what circumstances will humans depend upon an innovative plan of, I don't know, positive anarchy or a place of greater power of the people?

Wow, I have never asked myself so many things. I guess I am becoming more philosophical by the days! How many optimistic people do you know? Modern Farmer presents to you the dominion of insistent , stubborn civilians over despairing, panicked men. What's funny is that Min Ki and his friends are all optimists and is a rare group of cooperative men. Even if there is a an argument, their lives are in good-hearted men. They're all romantics... Well, except for Ki Joon , who has a severe case of denying a romantic  relationship. A girl can forgive her boy crush if he gives her and another male acquaintance a mask of noodles, right? Aigoo, Ki Joon.. you have taken imagination to a high level of "Ohigod, I just did that." Crazy avatars -- shrug--

Family affairs tie in and may provide a scenario for single parents and the fact that their son or daughter may not know their mother or father. I'm not a huge fan of staying true to the clan, but aish! these family matters make me teary-eyed. HOW DARE YOU LET GRANDPA'S CHOCOLATE BAR FALL TO THE GROUND!!!

She's the mom from either My Love From the Star or
that crossdressing musical series ft. Park Shin Hye
A reunion of familiar actors, actresses, such as former Miss Korea, Honey Lee. ((She insults herself, haha, it's funny for her tough woman character). Cackling skits and misunderstandings.. finally, a comedy that is comedy!

7.4 - 8.4
The ending ...
Did not see the failure of a musical debut.. pitied , once again

Eye Candy : Season One

10 Episodes
Mystery - Romance

With a name unique like a certified username, this show does not have its own distinctive traits. An obvious case surrounding an MIT - dropout hacker and her missing sister who may be dead.

The goal is perhaps, to be creeped out by an obsessed little boy "serial killer." (Apparently, the culprit has an obsession with finding 'real, perfect women') Anyway, the premise is awfully wacky and plainly stupid.

The premiere introduces Lindy, played by Victoria Justice, and her sister, Sara. It is a rainy night and Sara needs a pit stop, so Lindy enters a fast-food car line. Sara exits the car and, moments later, is stalked and abducted! Lindy fails to exit all doors (stupid lamppost!) and we see Justice slither out a dripping car window. Yeah, there are no overhead shades at fast-food restaurants. The pilot had a Gossip Girl watching mode to it:: strange and even more strangely, amusing to the eyes.

Lindy seems to have a quick, kickass mind, yet seems to always play "hard to get" when it comes to men. Several passionate kissing scenes throughout, but it's not as amazing as Shameless. Then again, MTV series are made for a teenage audience.
The show has only two viewpoints:: Lindy's and police department. The show tirelessly satirizes American police forces, as Lindy and friends, even a former cop, lash out what is to be done, when, in truth, time has been passing! Do you know how long it takes for everyone to actually unveil the Flirtual (like Tinder and online dating medias) killer?
Nine episodes. That's almost to the goddamn end! Slow, if I say so myself. I formed my hypothesis by the midpoint, and deduced it to two men.

To tie it all off , what shines in Eye Candy? Justice displays much love for either her work as an actress or her role, but the role may be an understatement of her potential. Having seen a few VicTORIous episodes, most of Justice's roles are too novice for her capabilities. I'd love to see her guest-star on Castle or another mystery series. Counting my stars.

Another likeable thing about the show is the most surprising character of all: the Flirtual Killer. He doesn't wait, he kills exactly on the day. It's snappy and probably saved too much time on the show . A few bloody scenes , but not eye-ripping.
Is it bas enough that I ended up laughing at their foolish choicemaking?

Better shows? The 100 and even though I haven't seen Veronica Mars or Teen Wolf, they seem fit to be much more entertaining than Eye Candy.

Shameless Season 1

12 EpisodesLife | Comedy
**Contains Daily Cursing and Shots of Nudity
Yep,
Stealing rolls of toilet paper because,
well, you know how it is in big families

Meet the Gallaghers:
Frank, the drunk
Fiona, the beautiful hard-worker who's also forced to be the "mother" figure of the family
Phillip "Lip", extremely knowledgeable and unresponsible kid of a big future
Ian, the closeted homosexual who's having an affair with his boss
Debbie, the sweet Ginger
Liam, the only coloured son of Frank and ???
Prepare to see one of the best and craziest families of television ~

I saw the pilot out of boredom and I must say, the Gallaghers have quite a lifestyle. Everyone has such different personalities that obviously, there's a story- unique per person. To note, Ian is a closeted homosexual who's not erect for females and on another term, Lip questions what kind of love he has toward his best girl friend for [unprotected] sex. Even Frank, the man of the house, becomes an admired father figure to a new daughter, but then again, he's an alcoholic, whose alcoholism has forced his family to live this way - as hustling children in the mornings or bar girls at night, and still having a love life.

The pilot introduces the family members and therefore, the debut is riding on the story of Ian's sexuality being discovered by Lip and Fiona meets Steve, who has a life beyond "Mr. Nice Guy." It's simple entertainment ! If you want to enjoy the series- every precious second, start from
Preferred Watching Sequence: Start from Episode 3- "Aunt Ginger"
(Gloria LeRoy is such a sweet granny <3)

Lots of stealing - a purse, meat, toilet paper. The family joins forces and really takes care of each other. Maybe it's a little too perfect. The acting performances from the adult and child actors are superb (I mean, Liam's debut in Episode 7 is just adorable)

The script should be the standard for all scripts. It's not so conversant like Modern Family and features a seducing Fiona (even though Rossum's voice is questionably pitchy, she's excellent with all her romantic/intimate scenes) There isn't humor in the script (after all, the children are the little comedians here), but the actions taken to skimp out on a trip to the grocer, playing dead for money, etc.
Mickey (after Kash, above, shoots a bag of air-popped chips):
It was a frickin' Snickers bar!

While it is not forcefully humorous, the show is a super entertainment bundle. Unless you prefer funnier subjects, then this may be like The Office for you (if you thought that was overrated)

An absolute gem that needs a larger audience!
It's got everything and fake blood from punches!
Grade: 8.7

Modern Family Season One

24 Episodes
[Forced] Comedy , Family, Drama

Three unique, related families and their lives.
Family and life lessons in a seemingly everyday conversational script.

Each episode is approximately 20 minutes in duration. A camera pans back and forth between an argument and I'm dizzy. Is this show truly a Modern Family?

Doesn't seem like it. The first half was able to stay relevant and has the most humor. It's not as knee-slapping as say, Jimmy Fallon or something funnier than Friends, but watching these different families has helped me realize that it's hard to be alone. For example, the eldest daughter of Phil and Claire Dunphy, at fifteen, Hayley still asks for permission for everything.

I'm a very independent person - silent at dinner, picking my lifestyle with daily workouts exceeding a forty-minute session, and blogging-rather, reviewing...
Hayley.. I can laugh at her now, but looking at myself, I wonder if I will be the one who'll be left without support in the future, as I don't even ask for anything from anybody.

My favorite episode was Episode Four. Hayley has a senior boyfriend, who sings and plays the guitar in a school rock band. Hear out his song -
It has cracked me up - "Maybe / Baby /..." and I'm choking seconds later.

Are the characters naïve? They've all made several mistakes , all with the similarity, fear. Fear of the consequences, his/her spouse, embarrassment, etc. Nobody has grown on me yet, so I'm hoping for more laughs and a grown-up Lily (the adopted Vietnamese baby).

For the last bit, why not know who's who?
   Dunphy family:: "the straight family"
Phil (Mr. Dunphy), Claire/ Mrs. Dunphy, Hayley, Alex, Luke

  "The gay family"
Mitchell (the ginger, sorry..), Cameron, Lily

  Dunphy family: "The Multicultural Family"
  Jay, Gloria, Manny

Once again,
--FORCED COMEDY--

Grade: 7 . 3 / 10
Enjoyable, but lacks humour
Not to offend, but is the show promoting obese/overweight actors to show that they might start to workout? When I see young Manny and Cameron, I get very concerned. Or maybe that's just obesity getting the best of me. ┐('~`;)┌

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi)

Genres: Comedy, Sports, Romance
Starring: Maki Horikita, Shun Oguri, Toma Ikuta
12 Episodes
2007 FujiTV

Ashiya Mizuki flies from America to Osaka Gakuen to make her idolized star high-jumper jump again. But, Osaka Gakuen it's an all-boys school! Incognito as a male, Mizuki is an in an unbeknownst love triangle.

So, I've seen the Korean adaptation, To The Beautiful You, and I've read the manga, a gem that lacked its ending, but the characters brought in more surprises. There are five adaptations: Taiwanese, 2007 Japanese, 2011 Japanese remake, Thai?, and the Korean drama. Today, I have finished the 2007 Japanese drama of 2007.

The adaptation has won numerous (acting) awards.Honestly, I can't agree with the judging entirely because : First of all, it's a jdrama with some romance. The perfection of no interruptions splits the line between Asian and American dramas, in my opinion. The lack of arguing makes the Asian dramas either more tense and questions further development of the story or pushes the show as a gentle cast of characters. And secondly, is it just me or Japanese main female leads are usually.. hesitant ? In Hana Yori Dango, Tsukushi stutters when she talks to Rui (Second Male Lead!) because of her supposedly developing feelings for him - in the end, these feelings just didn't add up. :'( Maybe I should have said that characters in Romances are frequently hesitant. Better check with kdramas among others.

Let me tell you, this version focuses mostly on comedy and sports. I know, right? It's a girl who idolizes a guy! (I'd rather say, "a person") Yes, but unlike Jae-In (To The Beautiful You), Mizuki actually motivates her idol often, and Jae-In , well, as rumours put it, has turned straight guys gay or homo.. You want more laughs? The 2007 Japanese Hana Kimi is recommended.
It's Mr. Wonka's hair!!

And another thing that makes this hands-up better? There. Are. Kissing. Males. Multiply those kisses by a quantity of around six. Are these accidental? Or for reals? If you're anticipating a Mizuki x Sano kissu, there's only one and that's in the finale! Sob. Sano, I thought you were better than this!!
Mizuki's character isn't as clueless as shown in the manga. She forgets that she's a girl at times, but who can when she's surrounded by ikemens?? What I loved was that her identity was seen, or known, by four people, whereas in To The Beautiful You, the boys found out about her disguise after she goes unconscious.
**Sorry for the couple of comparisons between the 2007 jdrama and the 2012 kdrama
Grade: 8-8.3 /10

Pretty Little Liars Season Four

24 Episodes
Mystery Teen Drama

This season picks up the story from the fire at the lodge of Season Three. The Liars seem to know most  of their own secrets and are uncovering the secrets of... lovers, Alison DiLaurentis, and their own families. Will "A" finally be unraveled? (Answer: no... The show 's renewed for a seventh season)

Oh, my ~ every episode reveals a new clue or just.. something new! The "A" clips at the end of episodes isn't as intriguing as the First Season. Just to say to those who, like me, usually tune in for A's spotlight.
But, it seems like one man will be on your suspect list: he's not on mine, cuz it just doesn't fit perfectly with A's motive. Ezra Fitz - is he a victim, too? Or is he working with A? If you love Ezra or fangirl him whatever.. beware, you might be afraid of him this time. I'm feeling so sympathetic for him ... a lot , now.

Relationships- heh, well ~ pretty much all the Liars are falling apart in their love lives. But at least they're not hit by A about their relationships. "A" hasn't been sending texts much, lately. Why so quiet, I wonder?

All the girls are meeting new guys (Emily… nope, still managing with Paige..) I mean, you are gonna miss this guy: Dean , a _____ counselor. I don't care if he never got to love his Client, but he needs to be my bestie, like, NOW!!
Apparently, the guy's on The Vampire Diaires, which I have neither read nor watched.
Beautiful that I couldn't take a click of him <З
I'll end with some remarks 'bout the Season Finale. ALI . TELLS. ALL. The ending ... is a little catfight between ____ & ____. We still don't know who A is. My guess (I don't have theories, just clues and 'clues')

I was so happy that I finished this season, but I thought they only aired 5 eps already. Boy was I wrong- 12 eps are out as of last Tuesday.
Grade: 8/10- because, why not? :))

Orphan Black Season One

10 Episodes
Genres. Sci-fi, Thriller, Family (an Everything drama?)
Starring:: Tatiana Maslany, Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Michael Mando , and More --

Sarah Manning, an orphaned hustler, witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks like her. She is reeled into an operation group who are studying ... cloning. But, she learns that everyone's keeping secrets.

Okay, this we a SPECTACULAR watch. Every episode is extremely tense and a bit suspenseful. However, I was a little blue for the Finale.. as it ended in a cliffhanger and forced more questions to be asked!

The CAST IS BEYOND PERFECT. Maslany guaranteed herself an award- the woman who portrays like, 10 people!! I'm also going to say "Thank You" to :: Felix (Gavaris)

Thank you for breaking my Incestual Shipment. Yes, I actually upheld their closeness as a relationship... Felix is just amazing.. wished I had met a guy like that.

The story is quite simple, but the aftermath of taking up an identity didn't get Sarah into trouble, she got herself entangled in a web! She learns that she's more important than she thought.. she's a new Favourite Character of mine.

The writers don't write lines that turns a confused party to an obsessive prey creature. Nope. They threw in humor, character-matched lines, and the "Scene Final Words". Aigg!! I squealed at this SFW (totally forgot that this abbreviated slang means Safe For Work) line spoken by Felix :: > <

"Well, aren't you an odd duck?"
The show also features both homosexualities which I'm greatly admiring . Don't worry, it's just one and one .. no more, no less.

The cast is diverse -racially and accent-wise. Tati traveled throughout Europe and America (New York businesswoman CEO voice, anyone?) . Jordan is an American who mocks a goddang amazing English accent.

That slick - backed hair ..
Felix, you amaze me EVERY TIME

It's a Mermaid!

Drop your pens because [almost] EVERY SECOND IS WORTH WATCHING. (Including the Pilot's sex scene? Oh, yes.)

Grade:  8.6/10

Hard to spoil, thankfully. Don't know what this says about the show, but YOU WILL WATCH THIS IN TWO DAYS I KNOW IT.

--Coming Up!
-Slam Dunk (anime and manga mentions)
-Hana Kimi (2007 Production)
-Boys Over Flowers (kdrama... it's been wayyy too long, right?)
