Split : an Israeli Production

At least the show includes significant events per episode. A high school drama that actually involves the activities partaken....................................

45 Episodes
Supernatural, High School, Romance

Ever heard a dub actor sing? Episode 22 -- baaaaah, ha, ha, ha, ha!!! The dub artists improve through progression of the show.

Ella Rozen is an ordinary high school freshman girl with a loving family and a childhood guy friend. Her identity becomes unmasked after the arrival of mysterious Leo Zachs.

Firstly, this is a show that is not to be ignored because of its considerably mediocre production value.
Yes, everyone wears the same clothes day in and day out, but here's the bigger picture:
a shady principal, a love triangle, an underground society. That's why this season is longer than a season of The Vampire Diaries. Adding layers of sideline stories like a soap, the conflicts are not resolved until episodes later. And as a bonus, there are at least two significant details or plot points per episode, so it's like an analysis broken down into many segments.

The show is a bit like Gossip Girl, the Twilight franchise, and a 90s high school drama tied up into one bundle. I can't help but note that this show emphasizes that being a vampire is painfully depressing, whereas Diaries promotes 'guaranteed eternal love.'

Finally, Ella Rozen is not at all a standby girl. She's not the sassiest girl out there, but she knows the downsides to every action that she takes. Putting family and friends first, surprisingly, brought no tensions or negative consequences. Unusual.

Enjoyable, despite this season's length. Not every episode is worth it, though, so if the first ten minutes are tasteless, moving on is an acceptable decision.

Grade: 7.6-7.9
